MANCHESTER, N.H. - The former Jersey governor is running for president.

In what was a poorly kept secret, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie officially filed paperwork Tuesday, launching his bid for the Republican nomination for president.

A former friend to ex-President Donald Trump, Christie will square off against the man he helped prepare for the 2020, election where Trump lost to President Joe Biden.

The two are known for saying whatever they want, and after the news broke Tuesday, social media was buzzing with people anticipating the showdown.

While the potential showdown between Trump and Christie may be entertaining, especially during debates, not everyone was happy with his decision to enter.

Others are looking forward to a matchup between Christie and Biden. Christie would have to win the Republican nomination to see Biden.
