Evansville residents will select new city leadership Tuesday, and for the first time in more than a decade, Lloyd Winnecke's name isn't on the ballot.

The three-term Evansville mayor opted not to seek another stint in office, so local voters will pick between Libertarian Michael Daugherty, Republican Natalie Rascher and Democrat Stephanie Terry.

Voters in Evansville could also overhaul the City Council, with contested races in the First, Second and Third wards, and a full slate to choose from in the At-Large seats.

Who is eligible to vote in Evansville's 2023 municipal elections?

This election is for city offices, so voting is open only to city residents. People who live outside city limits in Vanderburgh County aren't eligible to vote.

When can I vote on Tuesday?

The polls are open 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time.

Evansville uses voting centers, so voters can choose the location most convenient to them. Here are the locations:

What do I need to bring to the polls in Evansville?

Voters will need a government-issued photo ID to cast a ballot. It must have a photo and match the name on their voter registration.

The ID must display an expiration date and must be current or have expired after the date of the most recent general election.
