Election Day to fill former Rep. Barry Fleming's seat is on Tuesday. Here's what to know.

The first of many local elections will end this week.

On Tuesday, voters in Columbia and McDuffie counties will decide who will become the next person to represent District 125 on the Georgia House of Representatives.

The candidates currently on the ballot include three Republicans: political activist CJ Pearson, recent Columbia County Commissioner Gary Richardson and Steed's Dairy owner Jim Steed. There is also a Libertarian candidate, software engineer John Turpish, and a Democratic candidate, owner of Intome Management as well as IntoME Health & Beauty, Kay Turner.

One of these individuals will succeed Barry Fleming, who resigned to accept a state superior court judgeship with the Columbia Judicial Circuit.

Polls will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. McDuffie County polls include Precinct on Main in Thompson and the Dearing Community Center on Augusta Highway.

Several Columbia County precincts will be open including Kiokee Baptist (10), Woodlawn Baptist (16), Harlem Library (20), Harlem Senior Center (22), Second Mt. Moriah Baptist (24), Former Euchee Creek Library (25), Liberty Park (30), Grovetown Methodist (31), Greater Augusta Apostolic (32), Grovetown Public Safety Station No. 2 (33), Grovetown Library (34), Eubank Blanchard Community Center (40), Parkway Baptist (62), Parkway Elementary (68) and Belair Baptist (75).
