It's Election Day! Here's where you can vote in Pueblo and follow the Chieftain's coverage
Today is Election Day, and voters will decide the future of elected officials from the Pueblo County Courthouse to the U.S. Senate.
Ballots must be returned to a staffed voter center or a drop box by 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8 at the latest to be counted.
Because of the Chieftain’s print deadline, results from election night will not be featured in print until Thursday’s edition. Our team will share the latest results on election night at chieftain.com, so check in with us throughout the night for everything you need to know about local results.
2022 election guide: What to know about Pueblo County's top races and ballot issues
Can I register to vote in Colorado on Election Day?
You bet! To register and vote today, you'll need to be at least 18 years old and a U.S. citizen who's lived in Colorado for at least 22 days.
You’ll also need a valid Colorado driver's license, ID or know your Social Security number, which will help streamline the registration process. If you don't have those, check the Colorado Secretary of State’s website for a complete list of acceptable forms of identification.
Voters will need to show up to a voting center before 7 p.m. Tuesday to cast their 2022 ballot.
If you've already cast your ballot, you can check its status through the secretary of state's website.
Where can I learn more about local races and ballot measures?
The Chieftain has compiled a comprehensive 2022 voter guide that includes stories and general information on the races expected to have the greatest impact on Pueblo County.
For information on statewide races such as those for governor, secretary of state and attorney general, or for any of the proposed state amendments and propositions on the ballot, outlets such as the Colorado Sun, Axios and Colorado Public Radio have produced comprehensive guides.
