2023 election results: Abilene, Buffalo Gap, Merkel and Tuscola results
Here are the results of all contested races in Taylor, decided Saturday.
In uncontested races, the winners were:
Wylie ISD, Place 4 - Brad Hill
Merkel City Council, Place 4 - Brady Rutledge
Merkel City Council, Place 5 - Keith Darby
Merkel ISD board of trustees, Place 5 - Britt Pursley
Merkel ISD board of trustees, Place 7 - Matt Travis
Tuscola mayor - Joe Quick
Tuscola residents overwhelmingly approved Proposition A, by a 67-8 margin, unofficially. Prop. A read: "The authorization of the local sales and use tax in the city of Tuscola at the rate of one-quarter of 1% to continue providing revenue for maintenance and repair of the municipal streets. The tax expires on the fourth anniversary of the date of this election unless the imposition of the tax is reauthorized."
