Here are election results for Hancock County races, including sheriff and chancery clerk

Ricky Adam defeated three Republican challengers and was re-elected sheriff of Hancock County on Tuesday night, according to unofficial vote totals.

Adam garnered nearly 65% of the vote against Channing Reynolds, Johnny “JR” Raffeo and Nathan “Corky” Hoda.

“I’m feeling really good and very excited,“ Adam said at the Hancock County Courthouse on Tuesday, where his supporters gathered on the lawn and listened to the votes being read aloud on speakers.

Adam said he’s going to take a few days off to “savor the victory” and “start all over again for the next four years.”

In the Hancock County chancery clerk race, Tiffany Lee Cowman and Kodie Koennen will face off in a Aug. 29 runoff for the Republican nomination. Cowman received 41% of votes to Koennen’s 31%, knocking out challengers Jordan Bradford and JC Brignone. The winner of the run-off that will face Democrat Henry Ward in the general election in November.

While not securing enough votes to win outright, Cowman did upset Koennen in Diamondhead, where he served as a city councilman.

The chancery clerk’s race was one of the most talked about races on the Coast this election cycle.
