Election ties to be settled at noon today

Nov. 29—The Crawford County Board of Elections meets today at noon to settle a number of tied votes in municipal races in the November election in accordance with Pennsylvania's Election Code.

In Linesville, a tie need to be settled in the race for the fourth of four seats on borough council. Sue Scheppelmann and Jeff Weimer are tied with four votes each. Each was a write-in candidate. There also is a tie for constable in the borough as John Musser and Wade Largent are tied at one vote each.

Ties need to be settled for auditor and/or constable races in Athens, Beaver, Bloomfield, Cambridge, Cussewago, East Fairfield, East Fallowfield, Fairfield, Hayfield, North Shenango, Richmond, Rockdale, Rome, Sadsbury, South Shenango, Sparta, Steuben, Summerhill, Troy, Union, Vernon, West Fallowfield, West Shenango and Woodcock townships; and constable races in Conneaut Lake and Venango boroughs.

The Board of Elections' public meeting to draw lots to settle the ties is at noon in the Assembly Room at the Crawford County Courthouse, 903 Diamond Park, Meadville.
