Elections 2022: What you need to know for primary voting in Collier County

One of our most sacred rights as American citizens is the right to have a voice in our government by electing the leaders who will represent us. As Supervisor of Elections, I am proud of the work we do to ensure the integrity of our elections while providing convenient opportunities for voters to cast their ballot whether by mail, during early voting or on Election Day.

2022 Primary Election

Florida is a closed primary state and voters wanting to vote in the Democratic or Republican Primary contests must be registered within their party of choice by July 25.

Party affiliation is not a factor for nonpartisan contests that will also appear on the Primary Election ballot including school board and judicial contests.

Important dates for the 2022 Primary Election are as follows:

  • Voter Registration/Political Party Change Deadline – July 25

  • Vote-by-Mail Request Deadline – August 13 at 5 p.m.

  • Early Voting in Collier County – August 13-20  10 a.m.-6 p.m.

  • Election Day – August 23  7 a.m.-7 p.m.
