Eli Lilly will build $2 billion plant in Boone County's new industrial park

May 25—Eli Lilly and Co. will invest $2 billion in Boone County and be the first company to build a new plant on land set aside by the state for an industrial park on Lebanon's north side.

State officials made the announcement Wednesday afternoon in Gov. Eric Holcomb's mansion on Meridian Street in Indianapolis. Lebanon Mayor Matthew Gentry, Boone County Commissioner Jeff Wolfe and Boone County Economic Development Corp. Director Molly Whitehead were present for the announcement by the Indiana Economic Development Corp.
