Elida pitcher Brady Kirk fired a 3-hit, complete game shutout as he struck out 5 and walked 1. Kirk out-dueled Jordan Motter who scattered 5 hits over 7 innings while striking out 6 and walking 2. Elida's Gunnar Kuhn was 2 for 2. For Allen East, Braylen Kennedy was 2 for 3.

MIDDLE POINT — Lincolnview's Landon Price struck out 15 in a complete game where he surrendered 5 hits.. At the plate, Price was 1 for 2 with a run scored and Collin Overholt and Carson Fox each drove in runs. Breandon Renner scored a run. Crestview's Carson Hunter was 2 for 2.

Liberty-Benton 10, Lima Senior 8

FINDLAY — Lima Senior's Reece Waithe was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI and a run scored and D'Ontre Cowalt was 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored. Skyler Williams was 2 for 4 with 3 runs scored and Logan Davenport had a double and drove in two runners.

Shawnee's Logan Maxwell fired a 5-hit, complete game shutout as he struck out 3 and walked 4. At the plate Maxwell was 1 for 3 with a run scored. Jarin Bertke was 2 for 3 with a run scored and Luke Cowan had a double and an RBI. Derrick Lyons drove in a run.

ST. MARYS — St. Marys hurler Ryan Ibrahim tossed a five-inning, 2-hit shutout while fanning five and walking 1. At the plate, Adam Tobin was 3 for 4 with 3 runs scored and an RBI and Dylan Trogdlon was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI and a a run scored. Braeden Trogdlon was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI and and a run scored and Hale drove in 3 runs. Ibrahim had two hits and drove in a run. For Marion Local, Alex Knapke and Reggie Kramer each had hits.

ST. HENRY — St. Henry pitchers Tyler Dehan and Shane Franck combined on a no-hitter. Starter Dehan went four innings and struck out 6 while walking 3 and Shane Franck pitched the final three frames and struck out 5 and walked 2.

PAULDING — Paulding pitcher Blake McGarvey fired a 3-hit, complete game while striking out 12 and walking 1. At the plate McGarvey was 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored and an RBI. Payton Beckman was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI and a run scored and Jacob Martinez was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI and 1 run. Hunter Kauser was 3 for 4 with a run scored and Sam Woods was 2 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored. For Ada, Tyler Jameson was 2 for 2 and Roman Snyder drove in a run.

Coldwater's Marcel Blasingame fired a 2-hit, complete game shutout as he struck out 9 and walked none. Reece Dellinger was 2 for 3 with 3 RBI and Zack McKibben was 2 for 4 with a run and an RBI. For Wapakoneta Garrett Siefring and Ryan Camper each had hits.

Cory-Rawson 10, Waynesfield-Goshen 9

MT. CORY — Cory-Rawson's Clayton Skulina went 4 for 5 with an RBI and 3 runs scored and Matt White was 3 for 5 with 3 runs scored. Lance Kissererth was 2 for 2 with 2 runs scored and an RBI and Blake Boehm was 2 for 4 with an RBI and 2 runs scored. For Waynesfield-Goshen, Travis Nanchoff was 2 for 5 with an RBI and a 2 runs scored. Grady Spencer, Cooper Roberts, Blake Barnes and Joey Brodman all drove in runs.

Bath's Shelby Marstellar fired a complete game, 1-hit shutout as she struck out 4 and walked 2. At the plate Marstellar was 2 for 3 with an RBI. Ruby Bolon went 3 for 3 with 2 runs scored and Esther Bolon was 2 for 2 with an RBI. Ava Gibson was 2 for 3.

WAPAKONETA — Wapakoneta pitcher Rylie Jeanneret picked up the complete game win by scattering six hits, striking out 7 and walking 5. At the plate Allie Wilson went 1 for 4 with a triple, 2 RBI and a run scored and Carlie Schroeder was 1 for 1 with a triple and 2 runs scored. Maddie Doseck was 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI and Katie Lisi was 1 for 3 with an RBI and an run scored. Lauren Robinette was 2 for 2 with 2 RBI and 3 runs scored.

ST. HENRY — St. Henry's Rileigh Baumer was 1 for 1 with a grand slam, 4 RBI and 3 runs scored and Dakota McCann was 3 for 3 with 4 RBI and 3 runs scored. Jalynn Everman was 2 for 4 with a 2 runs and an RBI and Carlee Rethman was 2 for 3 with an RBI. For Marion Local Allison Dirksen was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI. At the Plate Ryan Uhlenhake was 2 for 4 with a run scored and 3 RBI and Evan Busher was 2 for 3 with a run scored and an RBI.

NEW BREMEN — New Bremen hurler pitched a 5 inning, 2-hitter while striking out 4. At the plate, Allison Hays was 2 for 3 with a home run, 2 RBI and 2 runs scored and Callie Wells was 2 for 3 with 4 RBI and 2 runs schored. Madi Lozier was 2 for 4 with a triple, 3 RBI and a run scored and Emma Krieg had a triple and drove in a run. Ellie Pappe scored twice and Kyla Stachler drove in a run and scored 3 times. For Waynesfield-Goshen, Kapri Wilson and Taylor Miller had base hits.

Wayne Trace 25, Cory Rawson 1

HAVILAND — Wayne Trace's Tiffany Sinn pitched five innings and gave up 2 hits while striking out 3. At the plate Sinn had two singles, a home run and an RBI and Emma Crosby had a single, scored 3 times and an RBI. Avan Zartman scored 5 times and Kaitlin Slade had a double, 2 RBI and ascored a run. Tatum Tigner had a double and drove in 3 runs and Logan Bland had a triple, scored twice and 3 RBI.

College

Coldwater product honored

ADA — Ohio Northern sophomore Jacob Wenning (Coldwater) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Baseball Hitter of the Week for the week of May 3-9.

Wenning went 8-for-9 with five runs scored and 3 RBI to highlight a 20-5, 7-2 sweep of Otterbein on Saturday.

He went 4-for-5 with 4 runs scored in the opening game of the double header to lead a 25-hit ONU attack.

Wenning was 4-for-4 with a runs scored and his third double of the day in the nightcap.

This season, he is batting .356 with one home run and 19 RBI.

The Polar Bears will wrap up their 4-game series with Otterbein on Tuesday with a double header at Wander Field.
