She may have grown up as MK & A's little sis, but as soon as she grew up Elizabeth Olsen was out here appearing as the Marvel Comics character Wanda Maximoff in multiple (!!) Marvel Cinematic Universe movies and making a name for herself. Once the actor—who comes from Hollywood royalty as the younger sister of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen—graduated from the Tisch School of the Arts and the Atlantic Theater Company, she began her professional career in entertainment and hasn't looked back. And Elizabeth's career trajectory couldn't be more different than her sisters'! But she's not mad about it.
During an episode of SiriuxXM's The Jess Cagle Show, the actor confessed, “My sisters didn't love being in live theatre. They didn't love live audiences. They were pretty shy, and it made them nervous. I was the one that made everyone come to see me perform a musical that we made within two weeks, and they had to see three of them every summer.” The more you know!

After Avengers: Age of Ultron, she went on to star in *tons* more films from the franchise including 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War, 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, and 2022’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness alongside Benedict Cumberbatch and his piercing green eyes. And as it turns out, you get paid *cue Larry David voice* pretty, pretty well for making such big blockbuster films. I mean, Avengers: Endgame became the second highest-grossing film of all time, raking in $2.799 billion (yes, with a b!) at the box office.
Sadly for us nosy people, exactly how much Elizabeth has made per Marvel project is kinda unclear. That said, we do know the salaries of other actors from the MCU, which could low-key provide insight into the ballpark of how much money Elizabeth took home. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, and Chris Hemsworth all made between $15 and $20 million for starring in Avengers: Endgame. Though Elizabeth's role is smaller than theirs in this movie, the actor likely took home at least few mill if she was compensated fairly.

To say this was a big deal is a massive understatement. Back in January 2021, Elizabeth Olsen starred as the lead protagonist Wanda in the Disney+ show WandaVision. The SparkNotes version of the project is essentially that it's the story of Wanda and Vision (played by Paul Bettany) as they try to hide their powers while living in the suburbs of a town called WestView.
The show was an instant success and even earned Elizabeth her first-ever Emmy nomination in 2021. Sadly since the show's release, it has been confirmed that there won’t be a WandaVision season 2—Marvel Disney+ shows don't always get second seasons, after all—but there *will* be a spin-off with Kathryn Hahn's character called Agatha: Coven of Chaos. Of her time on the show, Elizabeth had said to Entertainment Weekly: “I never thought I would have this opportunity, and I am so grateful to get to have spent this many hours with her now. I feel like I can do anything with her now... Even while she's taking on massive roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Elizabeth still somehow (?!?!) managed to fit in other projects that have undoubtedly brought her in even more $$$. Case in point? The 2015 Hank Williams biopic Saw the Light, in which Elizabeth played Hank Williams's wife. Plus there's the celeb's leading role in 2017's Wind River and her supporting role alongside *the* Aubrey Plaza in Ingrid Goes West.

During an interview with Variety, the celeb spoke to one of the key differences she felt being a part of a multi-part show. “Long-form has always been interesting to me because all of the different turns a character can take and change and evolve over time,” she began. “And with Kit [Steinkellner]’s pilot, I just found not only the character could be someone that I immediately felt connection to—it made me laugh, it made me cry—and it was at a time in my life where I was in a transition.”
