Elk Grove is closing these roads for the annual Run 4 Hunger on Tuesday morning

Elk Grove will have a number of traffic detours and road closures in place Tuesday near the city’s The Center at District 56 community center, 8230 Civic Center Drive, for the annual Run 4 Hunger benefiting Elk Grove Food Bank Services.

The detours and closures are 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

  • Civic Center Drive will be closed 7 to 11 a.m. from Big Horn Boulevard to Laguna Springs Drive.

  • Northbound Big Horn Blvd. will be closed 7 to 11 a.m. from Whitelock Parkway to Lotz Parkway.

  • Both directions of Laguna Springs Drive south of Elk Grove Boulevard, Auto Passage Drive, Wolfpack Lane, and Lotz Parkway will be closed from 7 to 11 a.m.

Police will lead motorists along Laguna Springs Drive between Elk Grove Boulevard and Civic Center Drive during the closure.

  • Northbound Promenade Parkway will be closed from Kyler Road to Laguna Grove Drive from 7 to 11 a.m.; while Auto Center Drive and roads traveling through the Elk Grove Auto Mall, 8550 Laguna Grove Drive, will be closed from 7 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.

Motorists traveling north or southbound in this section of Elk Grove during the event are advised to use Bruceville Road during the closure. East and westbound travelers should use Elk Grove Boulevard from 6 to 11 a.m. to avoid closures.
