Elk Grove police officer volunteered at DUI checkpoint before he was killed by suspected DUI driver
KCRA 3 is learning more about Ofc. Ty Lenehan, who was killed Friday by a suspected DUI driver driving in the wrong direction on Highway 99. According to Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Officer Lenehan volunteered at a DUI checkpoint in Citrus Heights with the group in December, about a week before Christmas. "When I heard what happened and went back and looked [at the photos] I was like, yeah, he's right there," Rhonda Campbell told KCRA 3. "They're priceless but they're sad."
