Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have expanded their already-impressive real estate portfolio yet again. The Wall Street Journal reports that they were the mystery buyers of one of the most expensive properties in Montecito, California, in late September. The couple reportedly spent $49 million on the estate, which comprises multiple structures and three parcels of land spanning more than four acres.

The home was never publicly listed by its previous owners, comedian and political pundit Dennis Miller and his wife, Carolyn Espley-Miller, who purchased it in 2006, per WSJ. The property features a sizable lily pond at its center, surrounded by a Tom Kundig–designed barn and a Cape Dutch–style main house, as well as several smaller structures also in the traditional South African style.

News of DeGeneres and de Rossi’s latest purchase comes shortly after they finalized a sale on another Montecito property, a 9.3-acre compound resulting from the couple’s late 2018 purchase of the massive Salt Hill Estate and a smaller neighboring home. They sold the combined property in early November, only a few weeks after putting it on the market, for $33.3 million.

The avid house flippers—whose current main residence is a Beverly Hills mansion purchased from Adam Levine in 2019—also recently sold off yet another Montecito home, this one a Tudor-style house they bought in January and sold to Ariana Grande in June after a short but significant renovation period. For those keeping track at home, DeGeneres and de Rossi’s two 2020 additions bring their real estate portfolio to a total of at least 22 residences purchased since 2003, the vast majority of which have turned major profits for the savvy couple.
