Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, have amassed a hefty real estate portfolio since they started their relationship. The couple has owned upwards of 20 homes, and over a month ago, they put their extravagant Beverly Hills estate on the market. As of today, the WSJ reports that the home has officially sold for about $47 million.

Even though it was purchased below the duo’s original asking price of $53.5 million, DeGeneres and De Rossi still made a profit. They purchased the property back in May 2019 from Maroon 5’s lead singer Adam Levine for a little over $42 million.

With a price tag hitting the double digits, you better believe this place is completely decked out. In the interior, the house has five bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, a living room, a library, and a media room. When guests step outside, they can soak up the sun on the countless patio sitting areas, the tennis court, or the pool with an accompanying spa.

DeGeneres mentioned in AD’s November 2011 issue that it was her father who inspired her ambition to invest in real estate, so we can’t help but wonder what she’ll buy next. “We never had a house when I was growing up,” DeGeneres told AD. “We always rented. But my father would dream, and we used to look at houses all the time. I’d pick out which bedroom would be mine and get all excited.” She added, “The first thing I did when I made money was buy a house.”

Kurt Rappaport of Westside Estate Agency had the listing.
