Ellenton Premium Outlets announces the addition of seven new businesses

Ellenton Premium Outlets, 5461 Factory Shops Blvd., has announced seven new stores, some of which have opened already and some of which are expected to open by year’s end.

Among those that have already opened:

▪ Tervis, manufacturer of insulated drinkware, including tumblers and mugs. The business is based in Venice.

▪ TMAX Technology offers cellphone accessories, technology items and toys. Specialists can handle issues such as replacing a broken screen or a phone battery.

▪ Volcom offers premium quality young men’s and young women’s clothing, including T-shirts, fleece, bottoms, tops, jackets, denim and outerwear.

▪ Wesloft mattresses and bedroom furniture.

▪ Tookies & Treats Bakery Shop, a mother-and-daughter owned business, offering an assortment of freshly baked goods, including cookies, cakes, cobblers, pies and more, is scheduled to open on Sept. 30.

“We started Tookies & Treats with strong family values and hard work, to bring the homemade baked goods that our family and friends loved so much to our community,” Tangy and Asia Smith said in a press release.

“The name of our store is inspired by our nephew Jordan, who used to say, “Mmm those tookies sure are good,” they said.

“We have a passion for baking and putting a smile on other’s faces and we’re excited to start our new journey at the Ellenton Premium Outlets this fall and reach new taste buds in the community,” they said.

Also opening by year’s end

▪ BoxLunch sells curated collections of licensed and non-licensed merchandise. With every $10 spent on pop culture-themed apparel, accessories, home goods, gift and novelty items, and collectibles, BoxLunch will help provide a meal secured by Feeding America on behalf of local member food banks. BoxLunch is scheduled to open on Dec. 7.

▪ Signature Perfumes sells luxury brands of cologne and perfumes including high quality, luxury brand oil from United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar. The store is slated to open on Oct. 1.

Ellenton Premium Outlets originally opened as Gulf Coast Factory Shops in October 1991 with 187,000 square-feet of space and 55 stores.

Simon Property Group acquired the mall and 20 others in 2009 as part of a $2.3 billion deal. At that time, Ellenton Premium Outlets had grown to more than 476,850 square feet.

Today, Ellenton Premium Outlets is home to more than 130 businesses.
