Shaniya Cherry had seven kills and two blocks Tuesday to lead the Orangemen (1-1) over the Spartans in nonleague action.
Kierstynn Stephanoff (10 digs) and Kaitlynn Wright (33 assists, 10 service points) also played well.

Junior Harrison Pumphrey notched a 3-over 38 to lead the visiting Irish (5-0).

Lake's season-opening win at Seven Hills was led by Dylan Suboticki's 3-over 39. Dayne Bontrager contributed a 40, and David Barrett and Cole Geyer rounded out Lake's scoring with 41s.

The Panthers (6-0) remained unbeaten with a Principals Athletic Conference win at Silver Lake Country Club. Brady Johnson led the way for Manchester with a 42.
GIRLS GOLF
Suburban League Tournament
In the second of four SL girls tournaments this fall, Highland ran away with the American Conference title behind co-medalists Isabella Goyette and Elizabeth Coleman at Ellsworth Meadows Golf Course in Hudson on Tuesday. Highland finished with a 318 total. Kent Roosevelt's Madolyn Kost shot a 79 to place just behind Goyette and Coleman individually and lead the Rough Riders to second-place finish at 352.
The National Conference was closer in the team standings, as Nordonia edged Hudson 326 to 328. Julia Gulla was the National medalist with a 1-over 72. Lizzy Grant led Hudson with a round of 77.
CVCA 204, Our Lady of the Elms 279
The Royals (2-2) evened their record with a win at Fox Den Golf Course. Senior Elise Gorsuch and freshman Avery Olson led CVCA, each shooting 48.

Norton 5, Triway 0
Katarina Jovanovic won in straight sets at first singles to lead the Panthers to a nonleague win. Addie Kropp and Corissa Thomas also posted singles victories for Norton (3-1).
Manchester 3, St. Vincent-St. Mary 2
St. Vincent-St. Mary senior Mary Hanlon tied the match 2-2 with a win at second singles, but Manchester senior Alison Luntz sealed the victory for the Panthers with a win at third singles in a match that lasted nearly three hours. Manchester's other wins came from Allie D'Entermount and Madalyn Keele at first doubles and Cayleigh Bowe and Kaitlyn Harbour at second doubles.
CVCA 4, Shaker Heights 1
Amy Beebe, Kyla Moore and Joy Saffles won singles matches to lead CVCA.
