Ellis Pryor is Ashland Rotary student of the month

Feb. 25—The Rotary Club of Ashland has chosen Ellis Pryor, a senior at Ashland High School, as the Rotary Club of Ashland's student of the month for February 2021.

Pryor was honored Feb. 18 at a Zoom Rotary meeting.

Pryor was introduced by Ashland High School Principal Benjamin Bell, who shared that Pryor was chosen because he embodies the values of Rotary's Four-Way Test that urges Rotarians to search for the truth, to be fair, to build goodwill and friendship, and to strive to ensure that their actions are beneficial to all concerned.

Bell noted that Pryor's nickname is "coach." He shared faculty comments that Pryor has a huge heart, is kind, "includes and inspires those around him," is uniquely talented in supporting others, and has a strong sense of justice.

Pryor is "such a force for good in the classroom."
