One of Elon Musk’s children wants nothing to do with her dad — or his last name.

The Tesla founder’s transgender daughter reportedly filed to officially change both her gender and her name in Los Angeles County Superior Court in Santa Monica the day after her 18th birthday in April. California’s age of consent is 18.

The reason given on her court filing is “gender identity and the fact that I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form,” Reuters reported. She’ll make her case at a hearing on Friday.

Musk, who is angling to buy Twitter for $44 billion, has come under public censure in the past for disparaging remarks about pronouns for transgender and nonbinary people.

“I absolutely support trans, but all these pronouns are an esthetic nightmare,” read one 2020 tweet. “Pronouns suck,” read another.

Vivian Jenna Wilson is one of five children who Musk had with his first wife, writer Justine Wilson. They married in 2000 and divorced in 2008. She has a twin, Griffin. Musk has two more children with musician Grimes.
