BRAD SMITH: Welcome back, everyone. Time for "Cut for Time," three stories, one minute each. We start with this today, after a vast headcount reduction at Twitter. Elon Musk is looking ahead to his next course of action-- hiring.

The new owner of the social media network tweeted out slides addressed at a company meeting with the words "We're recruiting," and the roles that they're going to be recruiting for, perhaps some of the most pertinent roles into making sure that they've got the necessary employees for just their day in, day out operations to avoid any type of pitfalls that would result in the form of privacy, security being compromised, or even where it could result in fines for the company, too.

BRIAN SOZZI: We're going to see Twitter hiring some potentially some top performers. Get some top performers in that company, Julie.

JULIE HYMAN: Some people who like to be hardcore.

BRIAN SOZZI: I'm just trying-- I'm just trying-- I'm just trying to, eh.

JULIE HYMAN: Eh. He also reportedly has been calling up company CEOs who have pulled their advertising from Twitter to try to convince them to come back. We'll see how that goes over, whether it's a soft touch in these calls or whether he's calling them up and telling them that they're anti-free speech and need to come back to the platform. We'll see how that goes.

[BUZZER]

See how it goes-- I don't know.

BRIAN SOZZI: Indeed. All right--
