Elon Musk presses McDonald's to accept Dogecoin

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has pressed fast-food restaurant McDonald's to start accepting cryptocurrency Dogecoin as a type of payment.
In a tweet on Tuesday, Musk wrote that he will eat a McDonald's happy meal on live television if the fast-food chain accepts the type of cryptocurrency.
"I will eat a happy meal on tv if @McDonalds accepts Dogecoin," Musk wrote in his tweet.
"How are you doing people who run crypto twitter accounts," McDonald's said in an initial response to Musk's claim.
Musk also announced earlier this month that Telsa will start accepting Dogecoin as payment for some of the company's merchandise, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal.
Musk's plea comes as cryptocurrency prices, including Dogecoin, have fallen sharply in the last few days.
