Chicago White Sox left fielder Eloy Jiménez reached base in each of his first three plate appearances Sunday as he continued his rehab assignment with Class A Winston-Salem.

Jiménez batted third and played left field for the Dash in a 7-5 victory against the Hickory Crawdads in Winston-Salem, N.C. It was his first time playing the outfield after spending Saturday as the designated hitter.

He walked in the first, reached on a fielding error and scored in the third and singled in the fourth. He grounded out to short in the sixth.

Jiménez was charged with a fielding error in the third.

He joined Winston-Salem on Friday and went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run Saturday as he recovers from a ruptured left pectoral tendon suffered during a March 24 Cactus League game while attempting to rob the Oakland Athletics’ Sean Murphy of a home run.
