Elton John Thanks Bands for 'Incredible' Tribute at Ohio State-Iowa Game

Elton John sent thanks and praise to the Ohio State Marching Band and Iowa’s Hawkeye Marching Band after a halftime tribute to the legendary songwriter during an NCAA matchup between the universities’ football teams in Columbus on October 22.

Songs featured in the show included “Crocodile Rock,” “Rocket Man,” “I’m Still Standing,” and other hits.

On October 24, John retweeted a video of the tribute and thanked the two bands for performing with “incredible dedication with so much creativity!”

The Ohio State University Marching Band replied: “We are honored! So glad you enjoyed the show, Sir Elton!”
