Elvis Costello, Billy F Gibbons team up for Nashville benefit concert at Brooklyn Bowl
We may have our share of all-star concerts in Music City, but the one taking place Sunday at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville is in a league of its own in terms of musical range and resumes — and led by two Rock and Roll Hall of Famers.
Elvis Costello and Billy F. Gibbons (of ZZ Top) will both take the stage at the 1,200-capacity venue, along with a cast of "All-Star Friends." The list includes dobro virtuoso Jerry Douglas, jazz saxophonist Bill Evans (a former member of Miles Davis' band), longtime Rolling Stones bassist Darryl Jones, Steely Dan drummer Keith Carlock and guitarist (and Douglas bandmate) Mike Seal.
The show is a benefit for the Musician Treatment Foundation, a nonprofit providing free surgical and nonsurgical orthopedic care to professional musicians facing financial challenges. Costello and his wife, jazz star Diana Krall, both sit on MTF's board.
Sunday's show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $99 - $209.50, available at brooklynbowl.com/nashville
