'Elvis' sighting at the Paramount; Beall at the Ice House
Wise men say only fools rush in.
You don't have to hurry and all are welcome to the weekend showings of "Elvis" at the Paramount Theatre.
The 2022 movie about the King of Rock 'n Roll will be shown three times, with the 2 p.m. Saturday matinee returning. Showings also are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
"Elvis" focuses on the relationship between the singer from Tupelo, Miss., and his manager, Col. Tom Parker, played by Tom Hanks.
Austin Butler received strong reviews for portraying young and aging Elvis.
Tickets remain $7 for adults and $6 for student, military and seniors.
Beall back in town
Former local musician Chris Beall returns to Abilene to perform Saturday evening at the Ice House, 173 Walnut St.
He'll play from 6:30-8:30 p.m., followed by Luke Daniel .
Beall, who now lives in Austin, recorded a video for the song "Big Blue World" in Abilene in 2021.
There is no charge.
