Graceland officials have confirmed a series of concerts, panels and programming for the 2023 edition of Elvis Week, celebrating the life, music and legacy of Elvis Presley.

This year’s event — which runs Aug. 9-17 — will mark the 46th anniversary of Presley’s death.

The schedule includes plans to mark the anniversary of a pair of landmark Elvis TV events. The 55th anniversary of the ’68 Comeback Special will be celebrated with a special enhanced screening of the show on Aug. 14. A screening of Elvis’ 1973 Aloha From Hawaii 50th Anniversary Concert will take place Aug. 16. Both events will take place at the Graceland Soundstage and feature a live band, special guests and Elvis on the big screen.

On Aug. 15, the Soundstage will host a Celebration of Lisa Marie Presley. Elvis Presley’s only child, Lisa Marie Presley died earlier this year in Los Angeles. The Lisa Marie tribute will be hosted by Jerry Schilling, longtime Presley associate and family friend.

In addition to Schilling, confirmed Elvis Week guests include songwriter Linda Thompson, entertainer Jay Osmond, TCB Band member Glen Hardin, singer Spencer Sutherland, guitarist Mike Deasy and The Blackwood Brothers Quartet.

Two perennial Elvis Week events — the Candlelight Vigil and the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest — will also return. The Candlelight Vigil will take place Aug. 15 at Graceland’s front gate, and fans will be allowed to walk up the mansion driveway to pay their respects at the Meditation Garden. The Candlelight Vigil ceremony will also be streamed live online.

The Ultimate Elvis Tribute contest will run Aug. 9-12.

Other Elvis Week events include Memphis Music Brunch on Aug. 13, an Elvis 101 concert on Aug. 14 and the Elvis Week Gospel Brunch, an All Request Show by Terry Mike Jeffrey and Dancing Through the Decades Party, all on Aug. 17.

Most of the events will take place at The Guest House at Graceland and the Graceland Soundstage. According to Graceland officials: “The week will include nightly parties, and the live music pavilion at the Graceland Exhibition Center will feature continuous live entertainment and a comfortable area for fans to recharge and reconnect. More events will be added to the schedule soon.”
