Elwood rehab hospital announces medical director

Feb. 24—ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital of Elwood-St. Joseph is scheduled to open its doors in March, and has announced Dr. Beth Shelton as its medical director.

Shelton is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and has served as medical director for an "inpatient rehabilitation unit and of a physical medicine rehabilitation outpatient clinic," according to a hospital press release.

The Elwood, Kansas, hospital will be geared toward providing physical rehab to patients with "disabling injuries or illnesses," according to the press release.

The 30-bed facility's opening marks the completion of a $20 million project for ClearSky Health, according to a previous News-Press NOW story.
