Crews from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and U.S. Forest Service on the ground continued to search for and snuff out hot spots along the fire's western edge on Saturday. Planes and helicopters were used to drop water on the fire as well. Containment efforts continued Sunday with four engines and five crews on the scene.

So far the the fire has not damaged any structures and no evacuation orders or road closures are in place. The fire did a prompt a road closure on state Highway 135, about 4-5 miles north of Aurora on Friday, but it was no longer in place Sunday.

Fire crews expected a helping hand from Sunday's weather conditions, with a chance of precipitation near 100%.
