Law enforcement searching for suspect in connection to a deputy being shot

Update, 4:50 p.m.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation confirms a male bystander was shot and killed during the altercation between Dep. Sean Steadman and suspect Kameron Jenkins.

Update, 3:40 p.m.

The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed Deputy Sean Steadman was injured in the shooting Wednesday morning.

CCSO says Steadman is expected to make a full recovery.

Wynnewood Middle School has confirmed there will be no after -school program today at the Middle School. there will be no Junior High Cheer practice after school. the Junior High Academic team Meet today at Sulphur has been canceled.

Davis Public Schools has confirmed the Impact Kids Program has been canceled for today, Wednesday, October 4th. Please contact the Elementary office if you should have any questions.

GARVIN COUNTY, Okla. (KFOR) — Emergency crews responded to an officer-involved shooting in Garvin County Wednesday morning.

A Cleveland County deputy was shot and rushed to OU Medical in Oklahoma City. He is listed as stable according to officials at the scene.

Law enforcement from multiple agencies including Oklahoma Highway Patrol, are searching for a suspect.

That suspect is 25-year-old Kameron Jenkins, according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. OSBI is the lead agency in this investigation and manhunt.

In addition to Davis Public Schools being placed on lockdown, Turner Falls is also reporting they are under lockdown.

GARVIN COUNTY, Okla. (KFOR) – Emergency crews responded to a reported officer-involved shooting in near Davis.

According to the Davis News, the shooting happened along I-35 near Davis, Oklahoma. Reports say an officer and suspect were both shot.

Cleveland County has confirmed to KFOR that one of their deputies was involved in a shooting.

OSBI will be the lead agency on this investigation and is expected to release some information soon.

There is a large police presence in several areas near where the shooting happened. Law enforcement officials are searching for a possible second suspect.

Davis Public Schools have been placed on lockdown.

The deputy has been transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. According to OSBI, the deputy is currently stable.
