Emergency Crews Support Mexico City Area Residents Impacted by Flooding

Emergency and rescue crews supported residents in the Mexico City suburb of Atizapan de Zaragoza on Tuesday, July 6, following strong storms that flooded the region the previous day.

On Tuesday, strong winds, heavy rain, and hail storms were forecast for the states of Coahuila, Guerrero, Nuevo León, Oaxaca, and Tamaulipas, according to Mexico’s National Meteorological Service. Rainfall could potentially cause landslides and flooding in low-lying areas, the agency said.
