If you live near the Ohio Army National Guard headquarters in northwest Columbus, you may see a lot of ambulances, law enforcement and other personnel responding there Thursday and Friday.

No need for concern. This is only a test.

The Ohio Adjutant General's Department is conducting an emergency response exercise at the Maj. Gen. Robert S. Beightler Armory complex at 2825 W. Dublin-Granville Road in coordination with local first responders, law enforcement and other local and state agencies.

The armory is located on the south side of West Dublin-Granville Road, west of Linworth Road between Fiesta Drive and the entrance road to the Ohio State University Airport.

The training exercise is held by military regulatory guidance about every two years and is conducted to "evaluate response capabilities of military and civil first responders" to an emergency scenario at the complex.

The event is not open to the public and acess to the Beightler Armory, the adjacent Ohio Emergency Management Agency to the southwest, and the area around those facilities may be limited during some portions of the two-day event.
