Emma Stone's hair transformation has Spider-Man fans excited

Emma Stone has switched up her hairstyle and it’s left several Spider-Man fans feeling excited.
The actress is already well-known within the fandom, having played Peter Parker's love interest Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man films alongside Andrew Garfield.
However, her new hair cut has seemingly reminded comic-book fans of another version of the character.

Taking to Instagram to show off Stone’s new look, hair stylist Mara Roszak posted a photo of the La La Land actress sporting a freshly cut bleach blonde bob.
"Cool Girlie summer Bob chop chop," Roszak captioned the post. "We’re so into it."
Later posting another photo of Stone’s new look on her Instagram Story, the hairdresser wrote: "Is she cute… or WHAT?"

Upon seeing Stone’s chopped blonde locks, fans swiftly took to the comments section to share their thoughts.
Many were quick to highlight a similarity between Stone’s appearance and that of a certain superhero.
"It’s giving Spider-Gwen!" one Instagram user wrote, with another Marvel fan adding: "SPIDER GWEN PLEASE".
"Don't even think of playing with us and getting excited that Emma will be Gwen again," another commented.
"SPIDER-GWEN," a fourth fan excitedly wrote, alongside a love heart and spider emoji.

However, unfortunately it seems fans may be getting their hopes up, as on this occasion Stone’s hair change doesn’t appear to have any relation to her acting work.
This also isn’t the first time the Cruella actress has ditched her iconic red locks in favour of a sunkissed blonde look.

This comes just days after Sony trolled Spider-Man fans by tricking them into thinking they were announcing another highly anticipated outing for the web-slinging superhero - The Amazing Spider-Man 3.
Fans of the comic-book hero also recently received another blow, as it was revealed Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse has been delayed indefinitely.
Sony Pictures has been forced to change the release date of the animated movie as a result of the ongoing writers and actors strikes in Hollywood.
