Emmerdale has hinted that some relief for Megan Macey in her car crash case could come from a surprising source.
Megan (Gaynor Faye) was responsible for the recent car accident that hospitalised Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell), when she got distracted on the road while text messaging.
Her recent confession for the accident sparked tensions with Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) after he discovered that Megan had Eliza (Kyrena Robinson) in the car at the time of the crash.
Things look even worse initially next week as Megan and Frank Clayton (Michael Praed) desperately appeal to the village for help to cover her legal fees.
Megan eventually gets an event at Home Farm, but is told she has to receive Kim Tate's (Claire King) blessing. Vengeful Kim relishes in Megan's discomfort, embarrassing her in front of everyone at the pub by saying she deserves to face justice for what she's done.
Although it looks like all hope is lost, Megan's former partner Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) surprisingly steps in and offers to pay for her full legal fees - clearly in an attempt to make up for betraying her with Kim earlier this year.
The offer appears to immediately cause trouble because Megan doesn't tell Frank about it, even though they decide to move in together. In turn, Frank goes to Rishi (Bhasker Patel) to ask about a loan.
At that same time, Graham visits Megan to hand off a blank cheque to cover her expenses. When Frank returns, Megan will be left trying to figure out how to explain how she suddenly got the cash.
Emmerdale currently airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
