Emmerdale star Katie Hill calls for Sarah Sugden change

Emmerdale actress Katie Hill has called for her character Sarah Sugden to get a new job.
The actress has been playing Sarah since 2017, and has been at the centre of many storylines due to being part of the Dingle family.
Speaking to Inside Soap, Katie noted that Sarah recently finished her A Levels, so thinks maybe it's time the character grew up and thought about her future and a career – and Katie has the perfect idea in mind.
"It would be good to work in the garage with Cain, because that's what Debbie, her mum, did for a few years," Katie said.

"It would be like following in her footsteps, and I'd like to wear the overalls and work with Jeff Hordley [who plays Cain].
"But working in the salon would also be so much fun because Daisy Campbell, who plays Amelia, is one of my best friends."
When asked what her ideal storyline for Sarah would be, Katie said that she would really like to do something that raises awareness for a real-life issue, as she has done before.

"It's always a good opportunity for an actor," she said. "When I first joined it was the cancer story and then the heart transplant. Obviously, I had Charley Webb [who plays Debbie] by my side and she's amazing, but it was hard.
"I was doing something that was bringing awareness to the situation and that people go through in real life. I hope we did it justice."
