Emmerdale's Lisa Riley has shared a warning with her fans after she was impersonated online by scammers.
The actress, who plays Mandy Dingle on the ITV soap, posted on Instagram and Twitter to let her followers know that they should be very wary if they receive any online messages claiming to be from her.
"PLEASE PLEASE LISTEN," she wrote, alongside several alarm klaxon emojis. "Each and every day I'm getting hundreds of messages saying….Did you sell slimming pills??? Did you ask a uncle to ask your fan base for money??? Did you send money to other countries????? NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO".

She said that any messages like these received by fans were scams, writing, "My social media is all fun, and positive. Common sense should REALLY kick in by now, these pages JUST WANT YOUR MONEY!!! I am not….will not…..EVER BE PART OF IT!!! Don’t click on ANYTHING on these pages!!!"
She urged her followers to share her warning post on their own accounts, adding on Twitter that fans should not "click on these pages it's THAT SIMPLE!!!"
The star's fans shared their disgust over the scams, with one commenting, "It's awful they are using your name like this. You must feel very upset. xx".
Another wrote, "Good lass! Ignore them all they're only after some attention", while another fan commented, "It's relentless isn't it? So sorry they keep using your lovely self for scams".

Actor Shane Richie, who plays Alfie Moon on fellow soap EastEnders, also got involved, joking, "Is this really you ?" to which Riley replied with several kiss emojis.
The actress recently revealed which former Emmerdale star she'd love to see arrive back in the village, naming Kelly Windsor, played by Adele Silva, as her ideal returnee.
"I want Kelly Windsor back!" she said, adding: "I think [Adele's] a great actress and there's a lot of untold stories there. For example, what did Kelly and Mandy get up to when I wasn't in the show for all those years?"
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
