Emmerdale stars Olivia Bromley and Natalie Ann Jamieson aren't just friends on-screen, as the pair have jetted off on holiday during a break from filming.

Olivia, who plays Dawn Taylor in the soap, and Natalie, who plays Amy Wyatt, shared snaps on Instagram of their sun-soaked break in Montenegro.

Natalie posted a picture of the pair side-by-side clinking glasses while enjoying the sun, captioning the post "Patsy and Eddie", referencing the iconic Absolutely Fabulous leading ladies played by Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley.

Ash Palmisciano, who plays Matty Barton, commented on the picture, saying, "That would be a great reality show", to which Natalie responded: "You’re booked for a guest appearance, of course!"

She also posted a glamorous shot of her sipping red wine in the evening dressed in a black crop top and stone-coloured trousers, writing: "Just before the ⛈ hit!"

It comes as the pair's characters are embroiled in plenty of drama on the show, with pregnant Dawn recently having a confrontation with Gabby Thomas after Gabby attempted to blackmail Dawn's husband Billy Fletcher.

Amy, meanwhile, will be stunned to find out her sister Chloe Harris believes she is pregnant. Scenes airing next week will see her boyfriend Mackenzie Boyd propose to her as a result.

Jessie Elland, who plays Chloe, has called for her character to dump Mackenzie after he cheated on her with his ex, Charity.

"[Mack cheating is] especially heartbreaking knowing how much Chloe loves Mackenzie and how all she wants is for him to love her back," she said.

"I think [finding out] will really devastate her, to the point we might see her react and respond on a level we have never seen from her before. It's literally her worst fear brought to life."

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
