Emmerdale's David sets a cunning trap for Maya
Emmerdale's David Metcalfe tries to fight back against Maya Stepney tonight (May 20) by finding out where she's hiding.
David (Matthew Wolfenden) is adamant that Maya should have to face the music for grooming Jacob Gallagher – and also fears that his teenage son is still being influenced by her.
Monday's episode sees David try to convince Jacob (Joe-Warren Plant) to start concentrating on his future again, suggesting that he should sit his remaining GCSE exams as planned.
When Jacob agrees and heads off to school, David takes his laptop along to Ryan Stocks (James Moore) and begs for a favour.
Accompanied by Leyla Harding, desperate David asks Ryan to install spy software on Jacob's laptop so they can keep track of what he's looking at.
With most of the village still unaware of the Maya saga, David covers by claiming that they want to make sure Jacob is devoting enough time to his revision.
Ryan agrees to the unusual request and David looks forward to keeping a very close eye on Jacob's computer activity.
David reckons it may only be a matter of time before Maya and Jacob get in touch with each other again – and that Maya will reveal her whereabouts. Is he right?
Emmerdale airs these scenes tonight at 7pm on ITV.
