Emmerdale's shock shooting and 9 more soap spoilers

Struggling to keep track of the constant stream of soap spoilers? Fear not, as every Monday Digital Spy picks out the biggest and best storylines hitting your screens in the week ahead.

1. Emmerdale: Siege drama

(Tuesday at 7pm and 8pm on ITV)

Billy is forced into another criminal job by Max this week. Keen to get the villain out of his life for good, Billy secretly informs the police. As they prepare to go through with the robbery, armed officers intercept them. However, Billy is left furious when DS Sanders reveals that they can't guarantee that Max doesn't know Billy tipped them off.

Billy's worst fears are confirmed when a vengeful Max holds Jessie, Marlon and April at gunpoint. As Billy and Ellis rush to the scene, there's a violent scuffle for control and a gunshot rings out. Someone is left fighting for their life – but who is the victim?

2. Coronation Street: Rick's disappearance causes questions

(Wednesday and Friday at 7.30pm on ITV)

In the aftermath of Gary's murder of Rick, Craig promises a concerned Bethany that the police will be looking into the loan shark's recent visit to the cobbles. After a little digging, Craig discovers that Rick has seemingly gone abroad. However, when his car is discovered abandoned, the police begin checking CCTV.

Meanwhile, Adam's suspicions of Gary are further roused when he becomes convinced that he's responsible for Sarah's bruises – but she insists she can fight her own battles.

As a mysterious teenage girl arrives on the cobbles looking for Rick, the plot thickens and it's bad news for Gary.

3. EastEnders: Jack takes the law into his own hands

(Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One)

Having witnessed Tiffany confront her rapist Fraser last week, Jack continues to worry about his troubled niece. Deciding to check in with Sonia to see how Tiffany is doing, Jack rouses Sonia's suspicion. Fed up by Sonia's questioning, Tiffany orders Jack to back off and leave Fraser alone.

However, after a run-in with Fraser, Jack can't let things lie and enlists the help of police officer Muski. Unsatisfied with Muski's advice, Jack decides to avenge Tiffany himself and confronts Fraser – but it isn't long before the situation spirals out of control.

4. Hollyoaks: Diane exposes Laurie

(Monday at 7pm on E4 and Tuesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4)

As the Hollyoaks High prom approaches, villainous Laurie is reigning supreme at the school. Keen to better understand Laurie, Diane visits her estranged stepson Finn in prison, hoping she may be able to use his advice to catch out Laurie.

At the prom, Sami is warned by Brody that Sienna and Sinead may be about to do something stupid and he leaves to find them.

Meanwhile, Diane gatecrashes the event and in front of staff and students, publicly accuses Laurie of rape. As seen in a recent preview clip, Laurie has Diane escorted off the premises, but it seems like she won't stop there...

5. Neighbours: Toadie's fury at Dipi

(Wednesday and Thursday at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5)

Delighted to spend time with Hugo unsupervised, Andrea is left annoyed when she discovers a file on 'Karen' and realises that the search is still ongoing. Andrea engineers for the file to be found by Toadie, who is furious to discover Dipi is the guilty party and orders her to stop.

Meanwhile, Toadie accompanies Andrea to her hypnosis session with Beverly Robinson, who prompts Andrea to remember a very real memory from her past. Eager to get to the bottom of it, Andrea confronts Heather – and finds her in bed with Ian.

Furious Andrea warns her mum to stop interfering but undeterred, Heather uses Ian to get more info on 'Karen' and discovers her location.

6. Emmerdale: Dawn's fury at Harriet

(Thursday at 7pm and 8pm on ITV)

When Harriet brings up Will ahead of Dawn's meeting with her son Lucas and a social worker, Dawn is thrown. Things grow worse when Lucas ignores her at their meeting and despite the social worker's attempts to console her, Dawn is left devastated.

Later, when Dawn catches Jai and Laurel in a clinch, she's furious until Laurel reveals that Jai was never with Harriet. Realising she has been lied to, Dawn arrives at Woodbine, accusing Harriet of sleeping with Will – and is shocked to find the pair together.

7. Coronation Street: Geoff attempts to isolate Yasmeen

(Wednesday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV)

Corrie's new issue-based storyline, focusing on coercive control in relationships, steps up a gear when Yasmeen is late to Geoff's dinner party after heading to a boozy wine tasting with Cathy. Furious Geoff lays into Yasmeen and she's left feeling guilty.

Later in the week, Geoff furthers his manipulation when he pours water over Ryan's mixing deck and lets Yasmeen think she did it. Things get worse when Yasmeen is mugged as she carries the takings from Speed Daal, and Geoff relishes the opportunity to play protector.

However, when Yasmeen has a good time with Alya, Ryan and his mates, Geoff is left annoyed. How far will he go to try and keep Yasmeen under his thumb?

8. EastEnders: Ian returns

(Monday at 8pm and Tuesday at 7.30pm on BBC One)

Ian faces a tense time this week when he finally returns to the Square and comes face-to-face with Bobby. Attempting to fix the awkwardness between them, Ben suggests drinks at The Vic – but the community is far from happy to see them. Despite receiving some kind words from an unlikely source, things get too much for Bobby, who storms out.

Ian and Kathy are horrified when Bobby later turns up sporting bruises on his face. Immediately assuming Max is responsible, Ian is quick to get the police involved – and Bobby later shocks Ian by revealing the truth behind his injuries. As if Ian's week wasn't bad enough, he's shocked to discover that Max is his new business partner. Tough luck, Ian.

9. Hollyoaks: Scott and Levi's rocky start

(Wednesday at 7pm on E4 and Thursday at 6.30pm on Channel 4)

Scott's relationship with his new love interest starts off on the wrong foot when Levi is invited along by Cleo and Mitchell to Scott's drag performance. Offended, Levi think he has only been asked along because he's gay – and clashes with Scott when he tries to involve Levi in the act.

The next day, Levi asks Scott on a date – unaware he's the drag queen from the night before. Scott, still unimpressed with Levi's behaviour, gives him the cold shoulder. It seems like their romance could be over before it's begun.

10. Home and Away: Ziggy and Dean get together

(Monday and Tuesday at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5)

As Ziggy and Dean head to the Bush Bomb Rally, their plans for adventure are ruined by stowaway Bella, who has hidden herself away in the car boot. Upon discovery, Bella makes it clear she's there to stop any romance between Dean and Ziggy, believing he belongs with Willow. Confident she's ruined their plans, Bella is thwarted when Colby heads over to bring her home.

Alone again after a fun day at the rally, Dean and Ziggy camp overnight with a pair of fellow racers. Dean ends up making a move on Ziggy but her awkward reaction leaves Dean fearing he has made a huge mistake.

With Ziggy giving Dean the silent treatment, a prank by their rivals forces the pair to share a shower and confront their feelings. Throwing caution to the wind, Ziggy kisses Dean – their romance is officially on.
