Game of Thrones” dominated nominations for the 71st annual Emmy Awards, earning a record 32 nominations and putting HBO on top again.

HBO led for nominations by TV platform, earning 137 and easily topping last year’s leader, Netflix. The streamer came in second with 117 nominations, followed by NBC (58), Amazon (47), CBS (43), FX Networks (32), ABC (26) and Hulu (20). Fox and Showtime tied for ninth place with 18 nominations apiece.

By studio, HBO continued to lead the way with the same number of nominations, since the premium programmer only produces shows for its own platform. By this metric, Disney Television Studios leaped into second place by studio with 58 total nominations; its series include FX’s “Fosse/Verdon” and “Pose,” and NBC’s “This Is Us,” among others, according to a tally from Disney. Universal Television racked up 43 nominations, thanks to “Saturday Night Live” and “Russian Doll.”

It is in the studio category that Netflix lagged, with 13 nominations, given its relative dearth of in-house productions. Five of those nominations went to “Glow,” and three went to “A Series of Unfortunate Events.”
