EN-RICH-MENT Dance Company performing first show this weekend in Canton

CANTON – The EN-RICH-MENT Dance Company will present its first show at Cable Recital Hall this weekend.

The dance group will perform at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday at  Cable Recital Hall in the Cultural Center for the Arts, 1001 Market Ave. N.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at www.tututix.com/ or at the door.

The shows originally had been planned for the EN-RICH-MENT campus on Cleveland Avenue NW, but were moved to Cable Recital Hall.

Betty Smith, executive director of the EN-RICH-MENT Fine Arts Academy, and Mary Vaccani, artistic director of the EN-RICH-MENT Dance Company, are presenting the performances.

Vaccani received her bachelor's of fine arts degree at Kent State University. Some of her past students are dancing professionally in Cleveland and New York City, EN-RICH-MENT said.

She has also taught locally at the Players Guild Theatre and Canton Ballet.

This will be the dance group's first performance.

The "concert will excite audiences with current social themes and music, as well as classical works," EN-RICH-MENT said in a prepared statement. "This concert will be engaging to young and old alike."
