MCKINNEY, Texas (AP) _ Encore Wire Corp. (WIRE) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $10.5 million.

The McKinney, Texas-based company said it had net income of 50 cents per share.

The copper wire maker posted revenue of $302.3 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported profit of $58.1 million, or $2.77 per share. Revenue was reported as $1.27 billion.

Encore Wire shares have fallen almost 2% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $56.30, a rise of almost 3% in the last 12 months.
