The end of Chiefs-Bills game got the Tecmo Super Bowl treatment and it’s awesome
Chances are Chiefs fans have watched the final two minutes and overtime of Sunday’s wild 42-36 win over the Bills multiple times.
There are many options to do so: game highlights, NFL Game Pass and the NFL Films mic’d-up moments.
Then there’s the Tecmo Super Bowl recreation that was put together by Chris Benson of Benstonium.com.
“The suspenseful back-and-forth during the unforgettable final minutes of the game seemed like a perfect sequence to memorialize in the style of the classic video game,” Benson wrote in a Twitter message.
He said it took about eight hours to put together.
This is fun and there are a few Easter eggs to look for:
After the Bills scored with 13 seconds, an option appeared for the user: Mahomes Beast Mode.
After regulation, we see the coin toss and it says the Chiefs won with this caveat: “because OT rules suck.”
At the end, there is an option to “press start to change OT rules.”
Here is the video, which was shared on social media:
