UPDATE @ 10:27 a.m.:

The Endangered Missing Adult Alert issued for a missing Newark man has been cancelled.

Police said Michael Arter was found safe and transported to the hospital.

INITIAL REPORT:

An Endangered Missing Adult Alert has been issued statewide for a 69-year-old man.

Police say Michael Arter was last seen waiting on a cab around 5:00 p.m. on Thursday and has not returned to his care facility.

Arter is described as being 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs 170 pounds, and has blue eyes and brown hair.

Anyone who has seen Arter is asked to dial 911 or 1-888-637-1113.
