Mr. and Mrs. Antony Underwood of Palm Beach and Heytesbury, England, announce the engagement of their younger daughter, Clementine, to Daniel Moriarty.

He is the son of Elaine Thornhill Moriarty of Cape Town, South Africa, and of David Moriarty of Durban, South Africa.

The bride-to-be grew up in Palm Beach. She is a graduate of the Sherborne School for Girls in North Dorset, England, and of Bristol University in Bristol, England.

She divides her time working for a boutique recruitment firm in London and for her father’s luxury travel business, The Argosy Programme.

The future bridegroom grew up in Botswana, Durban and Cape Town. After graduating from Rondebosch Boys’ High School in Cape Town, he moved to London to pursue a career in cricket. He is a left-arm spin bowler for the Surrey County Cricket Club.

A January 2025 wedding is planned in Cape Town.
