English Animal Rescue Shares Thank-You Video After Maisie Williams Donates £50,000

An animal rescue center in Bristol, England, shared a thank-you video on April 27 after actress Maisie Williams sent them a donation of £50,000 (about USD$62,000).

The coronavirus pandemic meant that the Bristol Animal Rescue Centre was forced to close its doors to the public and cancel fundraising events and activities. They have also been unable to carry out adoptions. The rescue center issued an urgent appeal for funding to replace the income they had lost.

Williams responded to their appeal by donating £50,000. She had previously adopted a dog from the shelter in 2016. As a sign of appreciation, staffers created a thank-you montage for Williams and posted it on social media. Credit: Bristol Animal Rescue Centre via Storyful
