Iowa residents can try fishing without buying a license as part of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources’ (DNR) free fishing weekend. All other regulations remain in place. This is the final day.

HCHC Diabetes Support Group meeting is 2 p.m. at Henry County Health Center in Suite 25, Mount Pleasant.

VFW in Mount Pleasant will host bingo games at 6:30 p.m. The jackpot is $599. When the $599 jackpot is won they go back to $250 and begin to increase each week by $25, and when someone wins the total will be reset back to $250.

Primary Election Day polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Henry County Conservation Naturalist Danika Cox will give an up-close look at live raptors at 6 p.m. at the Beach House Lodge at Lacey-Keosauqua State Park. All ages are welcome. The program is free.

Ceremony to Honor War of 1812 veteran Col. Rezin Redman is 10 a.m. in Freeland Cemetery, 408 Crane Hill, Lomax, Illinois. In June 1837, Rezin Redman, who is said to have built the first frame house in what would become Burlington, was laid to rest in the rural cemetery. Redman will have his grave marked with a 240-pound granite stone provided by the VA and installed by volunteers.
