Now that fall has arrived, one of the fun and relaxing activities of the season to enjoy with your family is a hayride.
Hayrides offers scenic rides usually in a wagon or cart pulled by a tractor, horses or a truck.

Indigo Farms

Gardens of Southeastern North Carolina
The Gardens of Southeastern North Carolina will be having wagons rides (without hay) at its fall festival on Oct. 14. The wagon ride will include a theatrical performance by the Pender High School Theatre Department. The garden is located at 985 Johnson Nursery Road in Willard.
Trask Family Farms
Trask Family Farms is located at 3650 Blue Clay Road in Castle Hayne. Hours: 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sundays. Details: 910-617-4812.
Halyburton Park
The annual Fire in the Pines Festival, which is held to raise awareness about the importance of controlled burning and educate the public about the longleaf pine forest, will also offer hayrides throughout the park. The event will be 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14 at Halyburton Park, 4099 S. 17th St., Wilmington.

Old McFaye's Farm
