NorthEaster Parade celebrates 45 years

The 45th TMO NorthEaster Parade will start at 10 a.m. Saturday in Northeast El Paso. The parade starts on Diana Drive and proceeds for about a mile or so. It is a community parade with nonprofit organizations, youth organizations and other units and a fun way to kick off Easter weekend.

Eggstravaganza at El Paso Zoo

Hop to the El Paso Zoo for the Eggstravaganza from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Have fun watching the animals with their Easter eggs. Take a picture with the Easter Bunny, enjoy live performances and learn facts about animals in a fun way. Free with zoo admission. Memberships are valid for this event.

Horizon City Easter Egg hunt

The Horizon City Police Department is geared up for the Egg Hunt from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at 14400 Golden Eagle Park.

There will be two egg hunts for two age ranges. The egg hunt for children 3 to 7 years old will begin at 10 a.m. The second egg hunt for children 7 and older will begin at 10:30 a.m.

Socorro Easter celebration and color run

The community of Socorro will have its Color Run & Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday at Bulldog Championship Park, 316 Buford Road. Registration for the color run is $8 per person and includes a race T-shirt, water bottle and paint packet, while supplies last.

The 3K Fun Color Run starts at 7 a.m. The Easter Eggstravaganza will take place after the race and will include information booths, door prizes, face painting, jumping balloons, activities, giveaways and more. The Easter Egg hunt will be at noon. Information: 915-860-8615.

La Union Corn Maze celebrates Easter

La Union Corn Maze continues its first spring Saturday and Sunday. Event times will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Fun activities will include a small oat maze, slides, rubber duck races, the cow train, and pedal carts. The big maze is only open for fall activities.

Participants will include Sombra Antigua Vineyards and Winery, Calhoun Flower Farms and Miles to Go Cafecita. Tickets are $13.09, excluding fees, and are available online at the launionmaze.com.

Celebrate Easter at Nichols Ranch and Orchard

The Nichols Ranch and Orchard will offer a fun day of activities, including an Easter egg hunt, a petting zoo, food trucks and music, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 236 Cottonwood Canyon in La Luz, New Mexico. Information: https://www.nicholsranchandorchards.com.

Easter at the Ranch

The Upper Valley Artist & Farmers Market will have a fun Easter Market event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at 300 Farm Road 259 in Canutillo. There will be more than 150 vendors, live music, a big Easter egg hunt and food trucks.

El Paso church egg hunt

Surrendered Ministries will have a community egg hunt with more than 1,000 hidden eggs, free games and a cake walk at 10 a.m. Saturday at 8617 North Loop Drive. $1 hot dog, chip combo. The event is free.

Cielo Vista Mall will offer a Bunny Photo Experience from 10 to 8 p.m. Saturday.

El Paso Museum of History has Low-Sensory Saturdays

The El Paso Museum of History will have its first Low Sensory Saturday at 510 N. Santa Fe St. The museum will have dimmed lights, lowered volume in exhibits, semiprivate and quiet space availability and easy hands-on crafts from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month.

Through a partnership with Fab Lab El Paso, the museum also will be exhibiting 3D printed scans of artifacts that visitors can handle. They will be displays with Braille labels and QR codes with recorded audio descriptions. Information: www.EpMuseumOfHistory.org.

Make plans for Big Fair

The Big Fair will be through April 16 at Ascarate Park. It provides fun rides and plenty of food and entertainment. There also will be magic shows, stunts and things for kids to enjoy. The fair will be open from 5 to 11 p.m. weekdays and from 1 p.m. to midnight on weekends.

General admission is $15 at the gate and free for children 2 years old and younger. The Mega pass for State Fair rides only, not including admission, will be $30 at the fair at www.bigelpasofair.com and at Walgreens.
