ENMU women's soccer schedule released

Jul. 16—PORTALES — Eastern New Mexico University's Women's Soccer team has announced their 2022 schedule.

The upcoming slate of games has the Greyhounds with eight home contests, five non-conference meetings, and 12 Lone Star Conference encounters.

For the second straight season, Eastern will battle Colorado State University-Pueblo for the August 25 season opener in Colorado.

In the 2021 home opener, the Greyhounds handed the Thunderwolves a 2-0 loss. ENMU closes out the month of August with an August 28 match against Colorado Christian.

Eastern returns to New Mexico September 4 to face in-state rival New Mexico Highlands to start the month. The Greyhounds take a road trip to Durango, Co. September 8 to play Fort Lewis College.

The Women's Soccer team's first home game is at Greyhound Stadium on September 11 when Metropolitan State University-Denver comes to town. This game will also wrap up the Hounds non-conference schedule.

Lone Star Conference play starts at Greyhound Stadium when Midwestern State comes to town to meet the Greyhounds September 14.

September 17 the Hounds are back on the road for games against St. Edwards University in Austin, Tx. that day and September 21 against Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas.

The Hounds are at home September 24 to wrap up September play with a game against Lone Star Conference champions Angelo State.

October starts out with a homecoming weekend game October 1 as Eastern hosts San Antonio's St. Mary's University.

Oklahoma Christian follows as they host the Hounds in Edmond, Ok. October 5. The Hounds return to Portales just a few days later, hosting Laredo's Texas A&M International University team October 8. October 12 the team meets up with UT Permian Basin.

October 15 ENMU heads east to Dallas Baptist University. The DBU Lady Patriots claimed the 2022 LSC regular season title and made a postseason run ending in the NCAA Division II Final Four.

The Greyhounds take on West Texas A&M at home on October 19 and Lubbock Christian on the road October 26 before wrapping up the regular season at home against UT Tyler October 29.
