If you're looking for something to make you scream and shiver this Halloween, check out these terrifying attractions in the Poconos filled with demons, ghouls, crazed inmates and blood-sucking zombies.

Reaper's Revenge continues to deliver on fright

One of the scariest attractions in NEPA, you'll start your scary journey on board a haunted hayride as you travel through the 66 acres of woods (filled with demons and ghouls) and explore frightful spots including a carnival, an insane asylum, a zany zombie lab, and a wacky alternate reality.

For the fearless: Check out Pitch Black, Reaper's walk through haunted home that has no lights and is known to scare even the bravest souls.

If you go: From the state-of-the art sound system blaring demonic sounds and voiceovers throughout the night to the 185 actors (guaranteed to scare even the most stoic man) Reaper’s Revenge is a must for thrill-seekers on the “haunt” for something terrifying.

Cost: $69 or $99 for VIP (includes shorten wait time and less lines).

Hours: 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. Friday - Saturday, 5:30 - 9 p.m. Sunday through Oct. 30

Abandoned spirits in Saylorsburg

You may pick up some paranormal energy at the The Hotel of Horror and Altered Nightmares haunted house inside the former Lake House Hotel (the once abandoned resort was built in the 1800s).

According to staff, “The sinister subconscious of the Hotel of Horror feeds off the dark energy that stains the lumber skeleton of this once pristine mountain resort, while Altered Nightmares celebrates the chaos that grows stronger as each soul travels through its decaying halls and abandoned rooms.”

Both haunted houses are indoor and walk-through and open rain or shine with a covered waiting area.

Cost: $25 - $30 for the Hotel of Horror, $35 - $40 for both attractions, $15 extra for VIP line jumper pass

Hours:  Varies by date. Open Friday-Sunday through Nov. 5.

Locked up in Jim Thorpe

Meet some of the ghosts of Jim Thorpe at the Old Jail Museum where the bad and mad inmates usually make their presence known, especially for people who are not looking for them.

Although the jail's keepers say they are friendly spirits, the jail (built in the 1871, the facility was operational until 1995) is creepy enough to keep you on your toes.

The attraction includes a narrated tour where you’ll learn tidbits about its history and the former cell mates, and other mysterious tales surrounding Jim Thorpe.

Cost: Price:$15 for adults; children under 12 are not permitted.

Hours: Tours leave every 20 minutes starting at 6 p.m. on Saturdays through Oct. 29 (the last tour is at 9 p.m.)

Fear not? Waldorf Estate offers high-tech thrills

The Waldorf Estate of Fear’s resident ghoul, Oliver, is said to be wandering the halls looking for damned souls.

He is joined by his fellow spooky spirits in this attraction, which uses high-tech lighting and trickery to scare its guests.

You can also be the star of your own slasher flick in the “Terror in the Corn,” a 20-minute outdoor walk (or run for those scaredy cats out there) through a corn field where you’ll encounter demonic characters based on horror films from the 80s, 90s and beyond.

There is also a haunted hell house (a two-hour paranormal investigation on the grounds) and a midday massacre (spooky village with craft vendors, food trucks, games and psychics).

Cost: $20 for the hotel, $20 for terror in the corn or $45 for both attractions. $15 for VIP upgrade. Bundles to all attractions start at $80.
